This year’s Austin Music Awards rocked the Moody Theater for the first time. The take away? The local music scene still has plenty of undeserving winners and losers, but the shift in venue from hotel banquet room to 2,750 seat concert hall hints that the “Live Music Capital of the World” might be ready to step up to the plate and recognize that world class talent needs a proper stage.
