AD: WHAT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT CREATING MUSIC IN AUSTIN?

CAF: Being inspired by other musicians in Austin. There is a greater possiblility of meeting others on the same path as you, and there is usually something happening, like a show, that you can connect at.

AD: YOU WERE ONCE UNIFIED FEEL THEORY NOW IT IS COLLECT ALL 5 WHAT IS THE STORY? ARE YOU GUYS IN THE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM?

CAF: Yes, so…we could tell you but they would have to kill us. But really, there were so many bands hopping on the physics bandwagon that we had to blaze a new trail elsewhere. We got together and…it’s only a name, like…shoe, or, hoodie.

AD: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE VENUE TO PLAY IN TOWN AND WHY?

CAF: The Elephant Room has been a good place for us to strech out a bit. Anywhere a bunch of ears gather sounds like a party. Actually, anywhere we play is a party.

AD: WHAT OTHER BANDS BRING YOU OUT?

CAF: Blaze, Red Young, Drop Trio, Grimy Styles, Hairy Apes, Tosca Strings,

AD: WHO WRITES YOUR MUSIC?

CAF: It is a collective effort. Hopefully this stops the rumors that our music comes in a mysterious package from pakistan.

AD: WHAT DO YALL THINK WHEN YOU HEAR THIS IS THE LIVE MUSIC CAPITAL?

CAF: Bullshit. There’s so many places to see good music in the world, we’re lucky to have a few.

AD: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE ELECTORIAL COLLEGE VOTING SYSTEM?

CAF: We have differing opinons on that. Nick likes instant runoff elections. Josh –it should be done away with. Jason –historically it made sense, but now it needs to be reformed. Mark –who’s counting? Matt –don’t get me started.
AD: FAVORITE BILL HICKS LINE?

CAF: How come there’s no good news on tv? All you hear about is war, famine, disease, flood, hurricaine, war, famine…how bout this instead?

AD: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE AUSTIN DAZE?

CAF: It is good to read on the toilet or the bus or anywhere.
It gets different perspectives out to the Austin scene. Y’all do a great job getting a variety of folks on the inside, mixing it up and keeping it layed out. Love what you’re doing as far as providing an alternative space for happenings in Austin. People you just don’t know, it’s wicked cool over there on the east side, and we’re happy to be part of it.
